The turnover of the publishing sector grew by 5.1 percent in 2023, with 2,856.95 million euros, and 2024 'is going very well' and could reach an increase of 7 percent, ....

according to the president of the Federation of Publishers' Guilds of Spain (FGEE), Daniel Fernandez, at a press conference. In total, 184 million books were sold in 2023 -with an average price of 14.66 euros-, which would mean that each person in Spain bought 4 books, “but if we say that, it’s cheating,” said Fernandez.
