Clásicos de la Literatura Española, National Awards for the Promotion of Reading in Spain 2024.

The Mi Pueblo Lee Association, created and directed by Maribel Medina, has been awarded the National Prize for the Promotion of Reading in the category Promotion of Reading in Spain. In turn, Joaquín Pérez Azaústre's podcast on RNE, No eran molinos. Clásicos de la Literatura Española, has been awarded in the category Fomento de la Lectura en los Medios de Comunicación de España. Both awards, corresponding to the year 2024, have been proposed by the jury that met yesterday, June 17.

The jury proposed the cultural association Mi Pueblo Lee for "its trajectory in the promotion of reading, with the added difficulty of doing so in rural and depopulated areas. Mi Pueblo Lee works from alliances creating networks with municipalities, schools, foundations, bookstores and, in general, with the entire ecosystem of the book, to bring reading to small towns and their population.
