'Los de Bilbao nacen donde quieren' -or “Les gens de Bilbao naissent où ils veulent,” by its original French title- is an autobiographical novel written by Spanish filmmaker, actress, screenwriter and author María Larrea.
The work was first published in 2022 by Grasset publishing house. It was later translated into Spanish by Alicia Martorell and Alianza publishing house.
The novel hit the shelves of the Spanish-speaking public on October 19, 2023. Since then, it has received mostly positive opinions from specialized critics, and mixed reviews from readers, obtaining a 3.7 out of 5 stars on Amazon and 3.86 out of 5 on Goodreads, which results in a regular grade that, at the same time, generates curiosity and desire to read this volume.
