Representatives of the main Ibero-American scientific publishing associations will meet in Madrid, at the Casa de América, on June 3 to reflect on and promote the use of Spanish in science,
convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAUC) of the Government of Spain, the Spanish University Publishers Union (UNE) and the Association of University Publishers of Latin America and the Caribbean (EULAC).
The Spanish Secretary of State for Ibero-America and the Caribbean and Spanish in the World (MAUC), Susana Sumelzo, will be in charge of inaugurating this meeting, which will also be attended by representatives of different institutions and public bodies responsible for the Spanish language, the science and cooperation with Latin America as is the case of the Directorate General of Spanish in the World, the Cervantes Institute, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), and the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
