The Spanish poet and writer Elvira Sastre assured that 'respect for letters in Latin America is enormous because poetry here is valued in an incredible way and everything starts from an educational base, in schools, on the street and in the society'
The great heroes are the writers, and that is seen everywhere Sastre (Segovia, 1992) said in an interview with EFE after his stop in Quito, as part of his tour of Latin America with the Impossible Tour, a recital of intimate, social and feminist poetry with live music.
The winner of the 2019 Biblioteca Breve Prize with her first novel Días sin ti (Seix Barral), and author of more than a dozen collections of poems, began her tours in Latin America eight years ago, after a visit to the Bogotá International Book Fair (Filbo).
Since then, she recognizes that thanks to the encouragement of the public, the proposal that she takes to the stage has been evolving and is increasingly more ambitious
