Mercedes Gutiérrez García (Madrid, 1971) was born and raised in Spain, although she has lived in the United States for years.
She has lived in Boston and in small towns in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Her stories can be found in many Spanish-language magazines. She is the author of two books of short stories: “Perro verde” and “Tanto para esto.”. She has a blog, American X-Ray, in which she "x-rays" everything that has to do with American culture. He has just published in Spain her book "El batallón de las Lincoln".
