As every year at this time, the nominees for the Eisner Awards are published, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of comics for different achievements in the U.S. industry.
These awards, which are also known as the Oscars of Comics, have been given since 1988 and owe their name to Will Eisner, the man who managed to make comics be seen as something more than a medium for children and young adult entertainment.
