The new bookstore, El Retiro de las Letras, opens its doors at Calle de la Anunciación, 2, in a cozy space in the Niño Jesús neighborhood, ..

a few steps from the Retiro Park and the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (Royal School of Dramatic Art). The bookstore is under the direction of Isabel Cristina Giraldo, a specialist in the Ibero-American publishing sector who curated Colombia's presence at the Frankfurt Book Fair last year.

The opening will be held on Tuesday, May 28, at 19:00, with an event in the "Taller de Ideas" room of the Eugenio Trias Public Library, where the Colombian writer Margarita Garcia Robayo will present her new book “Alegría,” published by Páginas de Espuma, with the Cantabrian writer and journalist Nuria Labari as moderator. Afterwards, at 21:00, a cocktail between books and friends will be offered in the bookstore premises and in the adjacent cafe, D picnic.
