Spain opens the call for the promotion of translation into foreign languages which, for the first time, includes Asturian and Aragonese.

Yesterday, May 9, the Spanish Official State Gazette published in the Spanish Ministry of Culture's call for grants, on a competitive basis, for the promotion of translation into foreign languages for the year 2024.

Subsidies are granted for the translation and publication into foreign languages of complete literary works, whether classical or contemporary, or scientific, originally published in Spanish or in any of the co-official languages, and which meet one of the two conditions:

The following may apply for these grants: foreign publishing entities, of a public or private nature, whether for profit or not-for-profit, that are legal entities or individuals registered in the self-employed regime of their country of origin, provided they are legally constituted.
