Júlia Peró was born in Barcelona and is a writer and multifaceted artist
She had already published poetry, but “Olor a hormiga” is her first novel, which is getting great resonance among critics and readers for approaching a topic that is rarely treated and that breaks taboos about old age, loneliness, and desire. In this interview she talks about the novel and many other topics. I thank her for the time given to us for this interview.
She has participated in various poetry anthologies and began publishing a first collection of poems entitled “Anatomía de una bañera”, (Planeta, 2020) and the book of conversations “Este mensaje fue eliminado” (Planeta, 2021), which adapts her digital project @este.mensaje.fue.eliminado to physical format. She runs the book club Libros crujientes and is currently working on her second collection of poems, a collection of conceptual art and a new novel.
