'El túnel de Oliva' is the third detective novel by Madrid writer Jorge Sánchez López with which he competed for the Planeta 2021 award.
But he has not only written novels; his work also includes a collection of poems and a book of stories. The novel revolves around events that happened at the end of the 1990s in the southern area of Madrid in a disco, when those temples of fun were still booming.
Jorge Sánchez studied psychology, which is probably why his characters are so well drawn and graduated in English Studies. He works as a teacher of that language and has translated various books when he is not studying Neuropsychology. In the interview, he gives us some of the keys to his new novel published by RBA.
