The Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain will participate in the 38th edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair, which will take place from November 30 to December 8, with Spain being the Guest of Honor Country.
The days dedicated to professionals will be December 2, 3 and 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Guadalajara Book Fair is the main event for the publishing and cultural sector in the Spanish-speaking world. Its objective is to promote the development of the publishing sector, reading, promotion and marketing of books and other publishing products in Mexico and the Ibero-American market.
It brings together publishers, librarians from Latin America, the USA and Mexico, booksellers, writers, literary agents and international distributors. These professionals, like every year, meet to discuss publishing issues, make business agreements and talk especially about literature and culture in general.
The last edition had the participation of 2,469 publishing labels from 61 countries and was attended by 17,400 book professionals and 857,315 visitors. The event developed an extensive program of activities for young audiences, book presentations, literary and academic forums, artistic activities, activities for professionals and celebration of awards and tributes.
