HarperVia’s Editor-in-Chief, Juan Mila, has acquired the North American rights to 'El último sueño' (Reservoir Books, 2023), a debut collection of short stories by legendary Spanish film director Pedro Almodóvar.
The work will reach the American public with the translation by Frank Wynne.
Cecilia Palacios, from PRH Spain, has been the intermediary in the purchase of the rights to the work of which, Almodóvar himself says, is the closest thing to a fragmented autobiography. The reader will obtain a lot of information about me as a filmmaker, as a storyteller and the way in which my experience makes one thing mix with the other. The book will be published in September.
