Anna Kadabra reaches one million books sold for young readers

The writer Pedro Mañas and the illustrator David Sierra, creators of the children's series 'Anna Kadabra' and 'Marcus Pocus,' have managed to sell more than a million copies of their books in Spain and there are already seventeen countries that have translated them.

Even in Korean we have seen our books. We never thought we could achieve such popularity, confessed both Madrid authors at a press conference held at Kirikú y la bruja, a bookstore specializing in young literature.

The name of the bookstore came about from the Spanish animated film that was released in 1998, where it took us to the world of witchcraft in Africa. It was in 2003 when Esther opened the establishment dedicated to children and young adult literature. Ediciones Destino publishers set its sights on that magical space to celebrate those million sales that very few authors achieve; a magical figure reached by privileged writers: The million-dollar club. What better place than this to continue the magic of Anna Kadabra!
