The Esther Benítez Translation Prize has gone this year to Rita da Costa and Julia Osuna Aguilar for their translations of 'La vida, después' (Salamandra, 2022), by Abdulrazak Gurnah,

and Pequeñas desgracias sin importancia (Sexto Piso, 2022), by Miriam Toews, respectively.  Voting took place yesterday, November 8, virtually. The jury for this award is made up of all the partners of ACE Traductores. The winning translations have obtained 30 votes each of the total of 81 votes cast.

The association annually announces this award, which is given to the translation into Spanish, Catalan, Basque or Galician of a literary work of any genre originally written in any language and published for the first time during the year prior to the award.
