Five essential books by Luis Mateo Díez, 2023 Cervantes Prize.

Luis Mateo Díez has been awarded the 2023 Cervantes Prize at the age of 81. The writer, a member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 2001, is a true reference in Spanish literature. Already in 2020 he received the National Prize for Spanish Letters and his books and essays have had great success inside and outside our borders.  

The Cervantes Prize is awarded to those who have contributed to the enrichment of the Hispanic literary legacy with their work, that is, it is awarded for all their publications, not just for a specific work, and it is one of the most important recognitions in Spanish literature.
