Interview with the Valencian writer Elena Bargues

The writer Elena Bargues is a renowned specialist in the genres of romantic and historical novels, where she has won some literary awards.

Her latest novel is “La fuente del francés,” where she takes us to Cantabria at the end of the 19th century where an unusual crime is committed in a famous spa, during Sagasta's visit. This is the second novel that she publishes in the Pàmies publishing house where she draws the Spanish political map of the time.

Under this same label she had previously published “El encargo del maestro Goya,” and before that several novels, among which "El asalto de Cartagena de Indias " stands out. She admits that her love for writing came to her a few years ago. She considers herself a late blooming writer, but since she started, she has not stopped doing it, even in between trips on a motorcycle with her husband to visit military museums or any fortress that she finds on her way.

“La fuente del francés” combines the elements of a novel and a fast-paced historical thriller. In the interview she gives us some hints from the new novel.
