The story will shine at the FIL in Guadalajara with the participation of authors from Argentina, Chile, the United States, Spain, and Mexico.
With the participation of eight authors from Argentina, Chile, the United States, Spain and Mexico, the Guadalajara International Book Fair will celebrate the 17th edition of its International Meeting of Storytellers. With three tables of dialogues and readings, which will be attended by some of the most prominent exponents of the short story genre. The program will be moderated by the Mexican narrator Alberto Chimal and will offer a rich sample of the best of contemporary narrative, which will be presented by its creators.
For story enthusiasts, the 2023 edition of this meeting will be memorable. At the first round table, which will take place on November 30, you will learn about the work of one of the most outstanding young narrators of her generation, the Chilean writer María José Navia, winner of the Municipal Prize for Literature of Santiago de Chile and the Best Literary Works Award in the short story category. The creator of “Instrucciones para ser feliz,” will be accompanied by the renowned and multi-award-winning Mexican writer Jorge Volpi, who among the recognitions he has obtained include his decorations as a Caballero de la Orden de Artes y Letras de Francia (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of France) and the Order of Isabel la Católica of Spain.
