This Monday, the jury has given the award to the work 'De bestias y aves,' by Pilar Adón (Madrid, 52 years old), published by Galaxia Gutemberg.

The prize, awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, is worth 30,000 euros. That same work had already won the Critics' Award, the Francisco Umbral Award for Book of the Year 2022, and the Cálamo Otra Mirada 2022, which makes it a phenomenon in terms of awards received. “De bestias y aves” is a continuation of all the stories I have written before,” Adón acknowledged in a recent interview with EL PAÍS. “I feel that each novel, poem and story is part of a larger work and what I do is fill it in throughout my life.”
