In Spain, Grupo’s L. Random House imprint will publish “ Melancholia I,” “Melancholia II,“ “Kvitleik” (“A Shining”), “Det er Ales” (“Aliss at the fire”), and a book of stories, “Prosa fra ein oppvekst” (“Scenes from a Childhood”).
Grupo also publishes Fosse in Portugal, its Cavalo De Ferro imprint will publish “O Europe e um Outro” November 6.
At CdL, “Aliss at the fire” is now in print, with the three novels to be released in Brazil next year.
The Academy, in their official statement, declares Fosse is awarded the Nobel Prize “for his innovative plays and prose which give voice to the unsayable. His immersive oeuvre written in Norwegian Nynorsk and spanning a variety of genres consists of a wealth of plays, novels, poetry, collections, essays, children’s books, and translations. While he is today one of the most widely performed playwrights in the world, he has also become increasingly recognized for his prose.”
