The Venezuelan writer José Carlos De Nóbrega, author of several essays, narrative and poetry titles, and literary translator of the Portuguese language, died on Tuesday, October 3, at the Carabobo Hospital, in Valencia (Venezuela),
after going through various health problems. The author was a kidney patient and in recent days he reported a relapse through his social networks.
With more than twenty books of essays, narrative, translation, and poetry, De Nóbrega had a degree in Education, with a minor in Language and Literature, from the University of Carabobo (UC). He worked as a teacher in the Doctor Enrique Tejera and Annex Ruiz Pineda educational units, among others. In 2015 he taught a course on Venezuelan literature as a guest professor at the Ramos Sucre Chair of Venezuelan Literature at the University of Salamanca, in Spain.
