The organization considers that the chosen motto is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for literary creation.

Sports will be the central theme of the next edition of the Madrid Book Fair, an event that will return to El Retiro Park from May 31 to June 16, 2024, with the motto “El deporte ilumina la Feria” (Sports illuminate the Fair).

In the opinion of the director of the event, Eva Orúe, “the Roman poet Decimus Junius Juvenal would like to know that the aphorism he coined, “Mens sana in corpore sana” (A sound mind in a sound body) resonates in our days and in a place like the Book Fair of Madrid".
