The work ‘Albatros,’ by Nuria Ortega Riba from Almería, has won the ESPASAesPOESÍA award in its sixth edition.
The jury, made up of Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Ana Porto, David Galán Redry, Alejandro Palomas and Viviana Paletta, representing the publisher, ruled unanimously, at a lunch held in Madrid on September 28, that the winning work of this year was ‘Albatros,’ written by Nuria Ortega Riba.
Of the collection of poems distinguished with this award, the jury highlights that it is “a wise and simple book, of notable stylistic correctness, capable of arousing mystery and emotion.” To which they add that “Albatros pays tribute to great poets in their interpretation of nature, maintaining a personal voice throughout the collection of poems. Home, family and landscape, are some of the centers of this creation.”
