The founder of Ediciones Urano, Joaquín Sabaté, will receive the Liber 2023 Tribute awarded by the Federación de Gremios de Editores de España, FGEE, (Federation of Publishing Guilds in Spain) for his extensive career and leadership

at the helm of the publishing house. This recognition of Sabaté by the book industry will take place on October 5 at the Ortega-Marañon Foundation, within the framework of the activities of the International Book Fair, LIBER 2023, which this year is being held at IFEMA MADRID.

Joaquín Sabaté launched Ediciones Urano in Barcelona in 1983, together with a small group of friends with vast experience in the publishing world, with the intention of promoting knowledge through books. Sabaté became CEO of the company, a position he held until 2005, when he went on to serve as its president.
