Claudia Piñeiro is an Argentine public accountant, journalist, playwright and writer. Over the years —and thanks to her unique writing— her name has become one of the most popular, not only in her homeland, but throughout Latin America.

Piñeiro is best known for her skill in writing crime fiction. Her most famous work in this genre is “Elena sabe.”

Despite not having had a greater impact at the time of its release, this novel was praised later by fellow writer Kathleen Rooney, who praised it as a "treasure" in a review she wrote for the New York Times. For her part, Claudia Piñeiro has continued to surprise critics, both with her previous works and with her new titles.
