Barcelona will pay tribute to the writer Francisco Casavella on October 15

The premature death of the writer Francisco Casavella left his faithful readers orphaned.

On October 15, on the occasion of what would have been his 60th birthday, Barcelona will pay tribute to one of its chroniclers, with concerts, debates and literary tours of places in the city relevant to the author’s life and work, with the epicenter being the courtyard of the castle of Montjuïc.

Considered by many as the chronicler of contemporary Barcelona for his novels "El triunfo" and "El día del Watusi," Casavella died of a heart attack in December 2008, at the age of 45, just months after receiving the Nadal Award for " Lo que sé de los vampiros.” Curated by the writer Miqui Otero, the tribute is organized by the Barcelona Institute of Culture, Libraries of Barcelona, and the Castell de Montjuïc.
