The total amount of the program amounts to 1,097,999.20 euros, which will be used mainly for the acquisition of bibliographic collections.

Abarán (Murcia), Potries (Valencia) and Segurilla (Toledo) are some of the 10 best reading promotion programs, each of which will receive 10,000 euros.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), has awarded 370 prizes to public libraries in municipalities with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants, within the framework of the XXIII edition of the Maria Moliner Campaign for the Promotion of Reading.

The objective is to recognize the best projects to encourage reading aimed at all residents, especially groups with accessing difficulties, in any of the official languages of the respective autonomous community and with special attention to municipalities with less of 5,000 inhabitants.
