Felipe Benítez Reyes, winner of the City of Murcia Ramón Gaya International Short Story Literary Contest

Reyes wins a cash prize of €30,000. The writer Felipe Reyes, under the pseudonym 'Altlante', has been the winner of the first Ciudad de Murcia Ramón Gaya International Literary Contest for short novels.

The work 'La gente' has been chosen among the 603 manuscripts that the jury of this first competition has received.

After several deliberations, the jury of the contest has chosen the 10 finalist works of the contest, whose titles are 'La gente,' 'Todos nuestros pecados,' 'El animal bajo la piel,' 'Momias niñas,' 'La larva,' 'Un nombre bonito,' 'Banderas de sangre,' 'Soles y lunas,' 'El rey emboscado,' and 'La zozobra'.

After the jury's decision, the Murcia City Council, the organizing entity of the contest, will hold an award ceremony next September.
