Interview with the writer Jesús Cañadas (TodoLiteratura)

Jesús Cañadas is a writer from Cádiz who, after traveling halfway around the world, has returned to his land to settle there again. He has published various novels of the fantasy and young adult genre.

He has also won various literary awards. Now “Noviembre” has been published; a novel for young adults that has a lot of metaliterature, a ploy that the author loves. His new work has been published by Edebé.

TL: The writing in "Noviembre," allows a 14-year-old boy to save himself from a harsh reality. What would the writing of those same adolescents be like with the new education plans?

JC: Look, in the last five years I have been to many schools and institutes to speak about my books for young readers. I always, always, always find a student who dreams of writing. There are those who dream of writing manga or those who dream of writing fantasy. It is true that there is a lot of leisure options right now, but my experience tells me that young readers can be given a vote of confidence.
