I met Edurne Portela when she published her essay "El eco de los disparos," which made a phenomenal impression on me, ...
her first novel "Mejor la ausencia," was a magnificent sequel to that. Since then, she has published another three novels in Galaxy Gutenberg, being "Maddi y las fronteras," the last for now.
“Maddi y las fronteras” is a singular work that falls between the genre of the historical novel and investigative journalism. The author received a call offering her a series of documents related to María Josefa Sansberro, known as Maddi.
She was a unique woman full of contradictions who, during World War II, served the Nazis. Later, she was part of the French resistance. She was a smuggler and a Mugalari; A fervent Catholic, though divorced; she always moved between two worlds. This Basque writer creates a powerful plot that surprises from the beginning. In the interview, she gives us some of the keys points of her novel.
