“El latido del mar” is a historical fiction written by the Spanish industrial engineer and author Jorge Molist, winner of the Alfonso X El Sabio Award for his novel “La reina occulta.”

This work was published by the Planeta publishing house in 2023. The novel is a fast-paced adventure based on real events, although with many literary liberties, which from time to time, deviate from reality.

Jorge Molist gives readers the story of a noble gentleman who seeks revenge after his family is taken away. He wants to vindicate his family at sea through a long and dangerous journey that will expose him to the most difficult tests of courage. This "hero's journey" will allow him to become one of the most iconic characters in the Mediterranean.
