The aim is to promote the creation of literature for children and young adults that fosters a thirst for reading and transmits, with literary quality, human, social, and cultural values that help build a better world.

These awards, endowed with 35,000 euros, are the most relevant in the world in the field of children and young adult literature in Spanish, which contributes to receiving a large number of originals from all over Spain and several Latin American countries.

The deadline for submission of originals is September 1, 2023, and all writers who wish to do so, of legal age, regardless of their nationality or origin, can enter the competition. The jury's decision will be final and will be made public during an act that will take place in the first quarter of 2024.
