Interview with the author Carlos Augusto Casas by ActualidadLiteratura

Carlos Augusto Casas is a journalist and crime writer and has already published three novels, the latest is “La ley del padre.”

In this interview he tells us about it and various other topics. I really appreciate his kindness and the time taken to speak to us. Born in Madrid in 1971, he is a writer and journalist whose career began at Diario 16. He ended up specializing in investigative journalism and has carried out his work on the main television networks. He now combines journalism with writing and directing the collection of thriller and police novels “Estrella Negra,” from the Cuadernos del Laberinto Publishing House. He also writes a column in Público, Oveja Negra, where he reviews works of the genre.

He has also penned several stories that have been collected in anthologies and with one, “El Bar de los asesinos,” won the XIV Premio Internacional Sexto Continente Short Story Award.

The first novel he published was “Ya no quedan junglas adonde regresar,” which received the applause of critics and the public alike as well as the VI Wilkie Collins Award for crime novels, the Novelpol Award, the Ciudad de Santa Cruz and the 2018 Tormo Negro for best crime novel of that year, and other mentions and recognitions.  In addition, it will now be adapted to the cinema by the Mexican director Gabriel Beristáin and will star the American actor Ron Perlman, seen in “In Search of Fire,” “Hellboy” and “The Name of the Rose.”
