TodoLiteratura interviews the author Rafa Melero Rojo

Rafa Melero Rojo was born in Barcelona in 1972, although his adopted city is Lleida. Mosso d'esquadra (Catalan police force) by profession, during his time as an investigator he participated and led squads such as homicides, crimes against public health, and crimes against heritage.

From a young age his life was linked to the world of athletics. He was champion of Catalonia in the 800 meters several times, and gold medal in the police and firefighter’s world championships in Barcelona in 2003. In 2013 he published "La ira del Fénix", which gave rise to his character Xavi Masip, and with "Ful" (2016), his third work, won the I Cartagena Crime Novel Prize in 2017.

With his seventh novel, titled "Dragones de papel", Rafa Melero Rojo surprises us once again. This work is the continuation of a series in which, together with the enigmatic Sergeant Xavi Masip, we immerse ourselves in a new case.  On this occasion, two Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalán Police) with complex personal histories embark on the search for a serial killer operating between Barcelona and Cadaqués. The keys to solving this mystery are the following: an origami dragon, an online sex business and a murderer hiding inside the internet pages. In the interview, he reveals to us some of the key points of his new novel.
