The historian Núria Sales dies at the age of 90

The historian Núria Sales, daughter of the writer, poet, translator and editor Joan Sales, creator of the Club Editor and author of the novel "Incerta Glòria," has died at the age of 90.

The Barcelonan was a disciple of Jaume Vicens Vives and Pierre Vilar and a reviver of modern history education. In addition, she was a writer and professor at Pompeu Fabra University.

Her works include "Història dels mossos d'esquadra" (1962), "Els botiflers" (1981), "Els segles de decadencia (s. XVI-XVIII)" (1989), "La revolució catalana del 1640" (1991) and "De Tuir a Catarroja: estudis sobre institucions catalanes i de la corona d’Aragó (segles XV-XVII) (2001), as well as the poetry book "Exili a Playamuertos" (1961).
