A new edition of one of the first novels by Alexis Ravelo, which was never published on the mainland.

The Alrevés publishing house publishes another edition of 'La noche de piedra', a novel that never reached the mainland and which Alexis Ravelo had left revised and ready to publish before his death this year.

According to the publisher, "La noche de piedra" can be considered a rural thriller and is the first of the two novels "dedicated to evil" ("Los días de mercurio" was the other). Set in the island town of San Expósito, the book tells how its protagonists, moved by sex, money, the ambition for dominance or mere cruelty, inevitably evolve towards a last deadly encounter.

Alexis Ravelo (1971-2023) was born and lived his whole life in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He wrote children's books, volumes of stories for adults, screenplays, plays, and even an opera libretto. His first novel was 'Tres funerales para Eladio Monroy,' originally published in 2006 and which opened the Eladio Monroy series, which consists of: 'Solo los Muertos,' 'Los tipos duros no leen poesía,' 'Morir despacio,’ 'El peor de los tiempos,' and 'Si no hubiera mañana.'
