Fernando Lalana and Chus Castejón win the Anaya prize for Children and Young Adult literature.

Zaragozan writers Fernando Lalana and Chus Castejón have won the XX edition of the Anaya Prize for Children and Young Adult Literature with 'El manuscrito Sancho Panza,' a novel that tells the "real" story of Alonso and Sancho,

 two teenagers who, after a series of meetings with Miguel de Cervantes will end up inspiring him to write 'Don Quixote.

During these conversations, the author narrates his adventures firsthand, from his experience as a soldier to his imprisonment in Algiers and his romance with the fascinating princess Dulcinea.

A jury made up of the editor Pablo Cruz; Raquel Bernaldo, professor of Language and Literature; Estrella García, from the Oletvm bookstore; Andrea Maceiras, winner of the 2022 Anaya Prize and May R. Ayamonte, writer and journalist, have decided to award them the prize for this novel which is recommended for readers 12 and up.
