A book to rediscover Miguel Delibes, "speaker"

The Destino publishing house brings together for the first time the fifteen speeches of the famous author of 'El camino'.

Miguel Delibes read his first speech on May 25th, 1975, at the reception ceremony of the Real Academia Española (Royal Spanish Academy), the institution of which he had been elected a full member to occupy the letter 'e' chair in February 1973.

'The sense of progress from my work', perhaps "the most read and applauded" of the mediations by the writer from Valladolid – recalls Ana María Martínez, PhD in Hispanic Philology from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a specialist in Delibes’ work – was the first of many others that he would pronounce when receiving recognitions (Cervantes Award and the National Award for Spanish Literature,  among others) or being distinguished at universities in Spain and Europe.
