The Ángel Crespo Translation Prize, convened by the Association of Writers of Catalonia, the Spanish Center for Reprographic Rights and the Gremi d'Editors de Catalunya, reaches its 26th edition. The award, which pays homage to the figure of the great translator, poet and humanist Ángel Crespo (Ciudad Real, 1926 – Barcelona, 1995), is recognized as one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of translation due to the high level of the candidate works every year. The submission period for this call will end on October 15th, 2023, and the jury's decision will be made public in the first half of December 2023.

In this call, any translation into Spanish of a literary work (poetry, narrative, theater, or essay) published for the first time, between January 1st and December 31st, 2022, in the Spanish state, will be eligible for this award. The source language of the translation may be any of the European Community, in addition to Russian.
