CEDRO removes more than a million illegal links in the first quarter of 2023

Madrid, 05/31/2023. So far this year CEDRO has monitored, through its Digital Anti-Piracy Service (SAD), more than 1.6 million links of pirated copies of books, magazines, newspapers, and sheet music on the Internet, of which it has managed to eliminate 1,212,940.

Likewise, CEDRO has also managed to de-index —through this service, which monitors a total of 170,512 works— more than 64,000 publications of illegal copy files on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and messaging services, such as Telegram, closing 464 groups in which these illicit links to pirated original works were shared.

Fight against piracy.

The general director of CEDRO, Jorge Corrales, has highlighted the anti-piracy work carried out by them: «With our work, we contribute every day to making the internet a safer and more respectful space for our authors and publishers and their copyrights. We work for the sustainability of written culture, both from the point of view of actions against content theft and in the training of users through the School of Copyright”.
