Bárbara Gil, journalist, writer, and literature teacher, publishes her second novel titled “La leyenda del volcán,” which is available in the market today.

In this extensive interview, she talks about herself and many other topics regarding the publishing world and the creative process of her stories. I really appreciate her time and kindness.

AL: Your new novel is called “La leyenda del volcán.”  What can you tell us about it and where did the idea come from?

BG: It's a historical and romantic adventure, but with the rhythm of a thriller, at least that was my intention. Summarizing: family soap opera, murders, the unstoppable advance of the railway, slavery, the birth of the banana republics, the evolution of capitalism in Latin America, the fight for land, the discovery of an ancient treasure, a woman between two men, sex and gossip ... And a protagonist who, above all, is a great adventurer.
