In the spring of 2024 Tusquets Editores will publish the Spanish translation of the new novel by Haruki Murakami, 'La ciudad y sus muros inciertos.'

The announcement was made this Wednesday in a statement after the announcement of the writer as the winner of the 2023 Princesa de Asturias Award for Literature. The publisher has highlighted that Murakami is the creator of a "unique and unmistakable" literary universe and has stated that the sales of all his works in the Spanish language exceed the figure of 4 million copies.

This award, to which 37 candidates from 17 nationalities entered, is the fifth of the eight international awards that the Princesa de Asturias Awards convenes annually.
