Registration for the XIX SM Ibero-American Award for Children and Young Adult Literature is now open

Nominations may be submitted by any cultural or educational institution, publisher, association, or group of people linked to children and young adult literature.

The SM Award recognizes the talent of authors who have developed their literary career in the field of children and young adult literature and offers a prize of $30,000. The registration period ends on May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. (Mexico time).

Each institution may present only one candidate, and it is possible that the same candidate may be proposed by several institutions. Candidates may be living authors who have published a valuable creative work for children and young adults, be it narrative, poetry, drama, or a work in book format, whose importance is considered transcendent for the Ibero-American context and written in Spanish or Portuguese.
