Due to their literary quality, Héctor Abad Faciolince, Piedad Bonnett, Brenda Navarro, Cristina Rivera Garza, Juan Tallón and David Toscana are the six finalists for the V Mario Vargas Llosa Novel Prize,
which will be awarded during the celebration of the Mario Vargas Llosa Biennial 2023, from May 25th to 28th in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. In addition to the presence of the finalists and the Nobel Prize for Literature Mario Vargas Llosa, more than 30 authors from Latin America, will participate in round tables at the Santander Performing Arts Ensemble, the Enrique Díaz de León Paraninfo and the University Center of Administrative Economic Sciences of the University of Guadalajara (UDG).
