Reading continues to be a useful tool for entertaining and learning, at least for three out of ten Spaniards who read between ten and twelve books a year, according to a study by the company Beruby carried out for Amazon.es.
Middle-aged people read the most, while young people prefer to practice writing.
However, this report, in which 3,000 people between the ages of 18 and 80 have been surveyed, establishes that "super-readers" are a minority since, regarding the number of books they read, four out of ten interviewed acknowledged reading less than five books a year, and that there is also 10% of the population that never reads.
