Bea and Víctor took a very important step in 2011. They opened El Armadillo Ilustrado, a small independent bookstore with a firm commitment to illustrated books in different formats. Books, children's, comics, art, leisure... In addition, they think that illustrated books do not have a single audience. We wanted to know a little more about this house of books.

How did the idea of opening this bookstore come about?

The idea of opening the bookstore arose from the moment in which both (Victor and Bea) came to live in Zaragoza. Both of us, but especially Victor, had experience working as booksellers, and it seemed to us that at that time, 11 years ago, there was space in the city for a bookstore like the one we wanted to set up.
