El País presents thirteen good noir novels for the Easter holidays.

Classics, 'thrillers', family mysteries and some surprises on the genre. Stories for all tastes with the perfect context for them to choose well.

On this occasion, we are going with some very classic bets and others a little different, on the borders of this broad genre that we like so much. I hope that each one finds what is theirs because the selection has everything (from the thriller to the most page-turning to the most literary). This infernal rhythm has forced me to leave things out. I have not had time, for example, to read Malart (Destiny) the end of Milo Malart, by Aro Sáinz de la Mata, one of the best exponents of how to carry out a series with a central, tormented, and original character; or the new one about spymaster Daniel Silva (in HarperCollins). We'll talk about it when he reads it to me. In the meantime, come and enjoy.
