On our tour to get to know the bookstores in our country, we stopped at Amapolas en octubre, a bookstore that was born from the pages of a novel by the owner herself, Laura Riñón. It is a peculiar bookstore, since it has inspired original initiatives that have not always been found in a bookstore.

How and when did the idea of founding Amapolas en octubre come about?

“Amapolas en octubre was born on the pages of a novel that I published in 2016. Two years after it came to light, I decided to take the scenario off the pages and make it a reality. And I can assure you that reality has surpassed fiction by far.
