The 2022 Loewe Poetry Prize has been awarded to the Cuban poet Reiniel Pérez Ventura who becomes the youngest winner at only 23 years of age.

This achievement was obtained with "Las sílabas y el cuerpo," a book published by Editorial Visor about carnal love, almost obsessive, which delves into the sexual life of words and enjoys the presence of the loving body, as an emotional and eternal theme, as it has been described by the jury.

The jury was headed by Víctor García de la Concha, and it was made up of Gioconda Belli, Antonio Colinas, Aurora Egido, Margo Glantz, Juan Antonio González Iglesias, Carme Riera, Jaime Siles, Luis Antonio de Villena and Orlando Mondragón.
