The choice of the city of Barcelona as the venue for the 41st International Ibby Congress has the support of the Government of Spain.

In 2028, Barcelona will be the venue for the 41st International Congress of Ibby (the International Organization for Young Adult Books). The announcement was made during the Bologna Children's Book Fair (Italy) in an act in which María José Gálvez, General Director of Books and Reading Promotion, participated.

The candidacy has the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.  This translates as an obvious support for Spain as the host of an International Congress of consideration and proposals of enormous extent for the book industry.  Likewise, it will be a magnificent showcase to show children and young adult literature that is made in our country.
